Hands down, Kilmarnock Toys would be the best place in Christchurch to purchase children’s wooden furniture. You know when you purchase their furniture that it will stand the test of time and remain in such great condition that you can pass it down to friends and family.
We have purchased two of the gorgeous dolls cots, a set of table and chairs, a beautifully painted wooden toy box, wooden trolley with blocks – the list goes on – simple, functional and classic toys which are solid wood and withstand a few nicks here and there. The things we have bought are all still in great use.

I just love Kilmarnock Toys. I found them online when looking for a wooden rocking horse for grandchildren. I was so excited because they’re a New Zealand Company and their product is fantastic! When we were setting up our early childhood centre we came across a wonderful organisation called Kilmarnock Toys. Toys are beautifully crafted by people with disabilities. I had the very real pleasure of having a personalised tour around their work place. I was delighted at the genuine warmth, care, enthusiasm and energy from Pen Turnbull and her dedicated team. The resources are beautifully crafted with thought and understanding with a large range from dolls houses, to construction vehicles, to single bed canopies! The dedication shows through in every individual resource which feels specialised just for you!
